Conclusions I think we can draw from this

• You can't repudiate mailfrom without starting over.
• We've underestimated the willingness of spammers to use the credentials of others.
• Delivery countermeasures have generally made things worse.
• Content filtering is not dead.

It remains to be seen how far we can escalate things... or does it?
